Spectrum High School is a FREE, public, college-prep charter school serving 875+ students in grades 6-12 in the broader Elk River area.

Spectrum High School’s educational program is based on the school's mission and vision statements:

Mission Statement: Spectrum’s mission is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attributes to successfully navigate the college and career of their choice and positively impact the world around them.

Vision Statement: Spectrum’s vision is to be a leading college preparatory school of choice committed to high standards and exceptional programming.

In addition to a strong academic focus, Spectrum has a robust athletic program with a full 16 teams, plus several additional cooperative teams. The excellent fine arts program includes theatre and choir performances and a growing band program as well as visual and media arts, too!

Spectrum also has a history of strong community support, as well as achieving state and national recognitions for academic and financial excellence: this includes its most recent recognition as a Reward School by the Minnesota Department of Education.

CaSH Classes

Spectrum offers College at Spectrum High classes which allow students to take college courses while remaining on campus via our concurrent enrollment programs.
