About Spectrum
Spectrum High School is a public charter high school which received its original charter in 2006. The school currently serves grades six through twelve, and is located thirty-five miles northwest of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. The school consists of three buildings with students in grade 6 at 11044 Industrial Circle NW, Elk River, MN, grades 7-8 at 17823 Industrial Circle NW, Elk River, MN, and grades 9-12 at 17796 Industrial Circle NW, Elk River, MN.
Spectrum High School and Spectrum Middle School’s core philosophy focuses on providing students with a small school setting which provides a college preparatory education with an emphasis on technology. In addition, students are also given an opportunity to become involved in their community through an intentional program of service learning. Currently, Spectrum has 23 C@SH [College at Spectrum High] classes offered through concurrent enrollment programs.
Spectrum has a college prep focus, and it shows! 86.4% of students in the 2022 class graduated with at least some college credit.Spectrum High School’s class of 2022 earned 3,017 college credits. This represents an approximate cost savings of nearly $1,350,000, based on the avg. tuition cost per credit at a four-year public college in the United States.
