Dear Spectrum High School Families,
Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! We’ve had a great first week of school, and as is always the case with my opening blog, I want to take the opportunity to thank those who have contributed to a smooth start. First, a huge thank you to our staff for doing an amazing job preparing for the new school year. As you’re aware, Spectrum Schools underwent a major transition to a trimester system over the past few months. The work and dedication this change has required was significant, and the effort of those who stepped up to the plate as part of the planning and delivery process was nothing short of remarkable.Thank you!!!
Secondly, I want to thank our parents and guardians for entrusting your student(s) to us. We are grateful for our strong partnership and the support you show our organization.
Finally, thank you to our students! Reflecting on this week and how smoothly things went here at SHS, I’m reminded of the positive impact our amazing student body has on our climate and culture. I’m confident it is going to be a fantastic year, and I am excited to see how it all unfolds.
As I have intended for the past few years, I hope to provide something "impactful" and "practical" every few weeks this school year through these blog posts. My goal with the "impactful" content is to provide perspective, while I hope you find the "practical" information related to happenings here at SHS helpful.
Impactful:
The 2025-26 Spectrum Schools theme is “Power Your Potential.” This year, we embrace new opportunities for growth and discovery. Our system shifts creates fresh rhythms for teaching and learning, opening doors for students to explore more classes, and deepen their skills.
Together, we look forward to a year filled with possibility as we power our potential, both individually and as a community.
Practical:
As a reminder, please be sure to follow the directions below pertaining to student drop-off and pick up procedures at our high school building:
HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING
• Enter Industrial Circle from the north entrance off of Twin Lakes Rd. Turn right into the main entrance (one way).
• Go around the building and drop off in the left lane at the front of the building. Note: If traffic is backed up on the south side of the building, students may exit there, use the crosswalk, and enter at the front of the building.
• The right lane is a pull through lane after students exit in the left lane.
• There are two exit lanes. Left lane must turn left and the right lane must turn right.
***Please also note that all high school student drivers who are providing rides to school for their elementary/middle school siblings/neighbors, etc. are being asked to come straight to the high school parking lot. Middle school students should walk from the high school student parking lot to the elementary/middle school buildings in the morning before school begins each day. This procedure is in place to help alleviate the amount of traffic in the elementary/middle school drop off areas.
