Impactful:
This coming week (2/5/25 - 2/9/24) we have the opportunity to honor our School Counseling staff here at Spectrum High School as it is National School Counseling Week. Together, Mrs. Kobes and Mrs. Trieu are in many ways, the heart and soul of SHS. Without question, they play an important and pivotal role in the lives of our 475 students and their daily experience. Whether they are assisting students in academic planning, collaboratively problem solving with them, or supporting through helping build organizational skills, they are always available to lend a helping hand. We are so grateful for their vast contributions that extend well beyond the areas mentioned above. Next week, I encourage you, students and parents/guardians, to reach out and express your gratitude to both Mrs. Kobes and Mrs. Trieu for all they do for our community!

Practical:
During the month of February (specific dates will be shared soon!) Spectrum students will have the opportunity to register for classes for the 2024-25 school year. Prior to registration it is extremely important for students to gain a clear understanding of graduation requirements and available courses. Spectrum provides some important tools that can aid in your and your student’s awareness of requirements as well as decisions on courses to enroll in for next year. In the coming weeks our updated course catalog will also be available online for your perusal, which will be communicated via email from our counseling department. Please don’t forget that Mrs. Kobes and Mrs. Trieu, our school counselors, are always willing and able to help you or your student(s) understand graduation requirements or answer questions you might have about registration.
