Principal's Blog: 11/12/21

Greetings Spectrum Families,

Impactful:

Today, one day after Veterans Day,  I am honored to share with you one of my favorite speeches I’ve ever had the privilege of hearing.  In 2014, Admiral WIlliam H. McRaven gave the Commencement address to some 8,600 graduates at the University of Texas.  In this speech, Admiral McRaven shared ten lessons he learned during his basic SEAL training experience.  His delivery is perfect for a group of aspiring college graduates, but I believe the application of these lessons is pertinent in all of our lives.  Please take some time to watch and listen HERE.

I want to also share a sincere thank you to all of our guests, staff, and student participants who played a role in delivering an inspiring and very moving Veterans Day program yesterday (11/11/21).  I am proud of the community that Spectrum represents and grateful to serve in an organization that takes time to remember the sacrifices of all of our veterans and their families.

Practical:
