Principal's Blog: 3/5/21

Greetings Spectrum Families,

Welcome to spring!  If you haven’t noticed, Old Man Winter is beginning to dwindle.  With warmer temps and more opportunity to soak up some sun, I want to encourage students and families to get outside and enjoy some time together.

When students think Spring, they think about how the school year is winding down.  This thought process can lead to something we call, “the spring slide”.   In an effort to avoid this, here are some things to remember and remind your student(s) of as we get closer to the end of the year:

(a) staying diligent about their study habits;

(b) ensuring the completion of all homework assignments; and

(c) continuing to put forth the maximum amount of effort necessary to reach academic goals.

Finally, if you’re needing to connect with any staff member here at Spectrum, I encourage you to reach out.  We are here to help and support your student(s).  You can find our contact information in our staff directory located here.
