Spectrum High School Families,
Ready...set...change! Surely all of us can resonate with the sequence of change during this school year when it comes to learning models (hybrid, distance learning, face-to-face, etc.). And with that note, we’ve entered yet another new phase when it comes to them. With yet another shift, I think it’s important to point out that we are not “back to normal” yet. We are now operating in a system that is somewhere in between with our 12th graders having the option to attend school in-person four days a week, and our 9th - 11th graders soon to follow (beginning March 2nd). Once again, I ask for your patience and grace as we work to learn how to best approach this new, but familiar territory. If I’ve learned anything this year, it is that there are always unforeseen challenges, even when implementing the slightest of change. Additionally, I want to thank you for your continued flexibility and understanding during a rollercoaster of a year. We could not, and would not, be successful without your support.
I also want to take this opportunity to assure all of our families that we have not forgotten about the many important events and experiences a student’s typical school year represents (i.e. NHS induction, prom, graduation, music concerts, etc.). Specifically, I want you to know that we are continuously discussing what these events could potentially look like, and that we are committed to finding creative ways to offer these opportunities to our students in some capacity when possible.
