SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL

  • Do you want to “Pie a Teacher” in the face? Spectrum’s National Honor Society is having a Canned Food Drive that will run from January 17 - 26th. This food will be donated to CAER Food Shelf here in Elk River. Bring your canned food into your advisory and for every can of food you bring in you will get your name put in a drawing. For example, if you bring 25 cans of food in you will get 25 entries into a drawing. This drawing will be held on Friday the 26th and 5 lucky students will get to “Pie a Teacher” in the face during the Pep Fest. For more information, check out the posters around school or see Mr. Hyde.

  • Hey everyone, it is Paraprofessional Recognition Week.  Spectrum High School would like to take this opportunity to say, “thank you”, to our incredible, amazing, wonderful paraprofessionals.  We thank you for your patience, diligence, and flexibility in working with our students.  Working alongside you each day is truly a blessing and a pleasure.  Thank you for your tremendous impact on our students’ lives and for the positive impact you bring to the culture of our school.

  • The NHS Snow Daze disco-themed dance will take place at the high school on Saturday, January 27th, from 8pm-10:30pm. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 dollars at the door.

  • Happy Snow Daze week everyone!  Student Council wants your pictures!  Please send any pictures of you or your classmates dressed up in our themes this week to the Student Council Instagram. Remember that prizes for best dressed for each dress up day will be awarded at the Pep Fest on Friday!

  • Students, the song requests for the winter dance are stacking up and the 9th graders are currently dominating the submissions with 36% of the votes. Reminder that if you wait until the dance to turn in your requests, the chances of your song being played drop significantly! QR Codes are now available around the school.

  • The high school will be celebrating Snow Daze from January 22nd-27th.

    • Wednesday will be Workout Wednesday - show up in your favorite gym fit.

    • Thursday is Rhyme without reason, find a friend to dress up as a rhyme. For example you could be Wild West and a Princess.

    • Friday will be class colors with:

      • Freshman as Grey,

      • Sophomores are white,

      • Juniors are Green, and

      • Seniors will be black.
