SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL 

  • We are excited to announce that Spectrum is ready to take the next step toward starting a cheerleading program this winter. We will conduct an organizational/informational meeting from 6:00-6:30 PM on Thursday, Oct. 12 to be held at ​the high school for anyone who is interested ​to learn more about cheerleading​.  At least one parent should attend as well. 

    By attending the meeting it does not commit you to joining cheerleading, however it is your vote to keep the process moving forward with the program.

  • Nordic Cross-Country Skiing Meeting – There will be an information meeting at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Oct. 12 at Spectrum High School for all 7-12 grade students and at least one parent who would like information about Nordic (Cross Country) Skiing this Winter.  Parnassus Academy in Maple Grove is located near Elm Creek Park and has offered to host Spectrum for Nordic Skiing.  The coaches will be at the meeting.  Bring your questions and learn all about the sport of cross-country skiing. 

    Attending the meeting does not commit you to join, however being at the meeting serves as your vote to keep the process moving forward.

  • Wreck-Less Driving Academy will be holding in person classes at Spectrum HS from October 30th to November 10th from 2:45-5:45 pm in Room 110.  If you are at least 14-1/2 years old and would like to join this class, please contact Wreck-Less Driving Academy to sign up today (class size is limited to 30 students and need 20 students told hold it).  There are fliers outside the front office or see Mrs. Bondy with questions.  Thanks!

SPECTRUM MIDDLE SCHOOL 

  • The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The national test will consist of two portions and is scheduled to begin at approximately 1:30 p.m. CT. The WEA portion of the test will be directed to all cell phones, so please expect all staff and student mobile devices to be alerted at this time.

  • ATTENTION ALL 6TH GRADERS:  Spectrum will be hosting a 6th grade cross country meet at 8:30 am on Saturday, Oct. 14 at our home course located at Bassett Creek Park in Crystal. This is your opportunity to experience the THRILL of cross country running. The course is one mile long and winds through fields, woods, and around a small lake. Come enjoy the fun of running a cross country race and stay to cheer for the high school team at the conference championship meet. You can even ride the bus with the team to and from the meet, and you get to race in a Spectrum jersey! Check you email or the posters around the school for more information.
