SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL 

  • Wreck-Less Driving Academy will be holding in person classes at Spectrum HS from October 30th to November 10th from 2:45-5:45 pm in Room 110.  If you are at least 14-1/2 years old and would like to join this class, please contact Wreck-Less Driving Academy to sign up today (class size is limited to 30 students and need 20 students told hold it).  There are fliers outside the front office or see Mrs. Bondy with questions.  Thanks!

  • The upcoming StingTime College Presentation is North Hennepin Community College on Wednesday, September 27. Please look for the NHCC with Mr. Opsahl when making your Responsive Scheduling Offering selections on Tuesday of this week.

  • Homecoming week is here! Here are the dress up days:

    • Wednesday is pink out - Because on Wednesdays we wear pink

    • Thursday is Dress your Grade day - Freshman are babies, Sophomores are toddlers, Junior are millennials, and seniors are senior citizens

    • Friday is Class Colors! - Freshman are in gray, Sophomores in white, Juniors are in green and Seniors are in black!
       

  • Have you submitted your song requests for this Friday’s homecoming dance? Check
    your email for a form that was sent out to students on September 20.

  • Make sure to attend the 9-12 Grade Homecoming Dance right here at the high school on Friday night after the football game. Tickets are $8 at the door or $6 if you purchase tickets in advance. Tickets will go on sale in the lunchroom starting on Monday, Sept. 25.

  • Parking permits are needed on all vehicles throughout the year.  Please make sure you have yours so that you can continue parking in the lot.  Questions, see Skog or Bondy.

  • Reminder to students exiting the building out the main front door or the event entrance to go to parked cars, please use the crosswalk.  For those that are being picked up by their parents, stay on the sidewalks only, don’t dart into the parking lot to find your ride. 

SPECTRUM MIDDLE SCHOOL 

  • Lost & Found: Missing something? Maybe it is a sweatshirt, shoes, or a water bottle? If so, check the Lost & Found because it could be there. The 7-8 Lost & Found is especially getting full. It is located between the cafeteria and gymnasium.

  • Middle School Homecoming Spirit Week: This week is Homecoming Spirit Week, concluding with a Pep Fest on Friday. Please join Student Council in celebrating by dressing up: 6-8 Grade dress up themes are: 

    • Thursday is Hawaiian Day and

    • Friday is School Colors Day: 6th Grade wears green, 7th Grade wears white, and 8th Grade wears black

  • Students of the Month - Each month we have two Students of the Month for each grade. These students are nominated by teachers for excelling in academic performance, character, behavior, effort, social relationships, and attendance; National Junior Honor Society students are not eligible to be a Student of the Month.  Please congratulate the following students for being recognized as the September Students of the Month:  

    • 6th - Emik Zhyhar and Eloise Smith

    • 7th - Vincent Chase and Nataly Helps

    • 8th - Riley Porter and Madelynn Sawyer
