SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL

  • Students in College and Career Readiness are organizing a community service drive to collect items for various organizations. One of those organizations is Open Doors for Youth. It is a charity that gives shelter and necessities to both kids and adults living in poverty. They will be holding a food drive located in the front office doorway to collect food for those who need it. The next charity is the Ronald McDonald House. They help families with sick children to stay close to their hospitalized children by getting hotel rooms, houses, or rooms for the families. They will be holding an art supplies drive located in the CCC. Lastly, there is Healing Hearts Connection. Their goal is to give support to individuals or families struggling with the loss of a loved one. They will be holding a fleece blanket drive located in the CCC to give comfort to the individuals going through grief. All donations are due by May 12th.

  • We’ve made it to the month of May, and the upcoming spring concerts will begin soon! Join us at 7pm on Friday, May 5 for the band concert. Next up will be the choir concert on May 19. Save the dates and we will see you there!

  • Reminder: There will be no school on Monday, May 8. This will be a Staff Development Day. Please plan accordingly.

  • Thanks to all who attended prom.  Both grand march and the dance were amazing.  Thank you to Mrs. Hewitt, Ms. Tyler, Ms. Genise, Mr. Nyquist, Ms. Hamernick, and Mr. Leland for helping out.  Students--several items were found at the end of the night, including a bracelet, 2 jackets, a tie, sunglasses, and an earring.  See Ms. Johnson if you are missing something.
