SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL 

  • Tomorrow is Veterans Day! Tomorrow at 1:30, we'll all be honoring our veterans and currently serving military members with our annual Veterans Day Program. Spectrum supports our military, including many Spectrum alumni, family members, and even some of our staff. The Spectrum High School choir and band, along with numerous military personnel and veterans, are excited to have all of our staff and students join for the ceremony in the high school gym. All students will be dismissed to their advisors before the program. Once attendance is taken, they will proceed to the gym and sit with the advisory.

  • Hey Spectrum Sting - just a reminder that 2021 Powder Tuff team registration is due today by 3:00pm! Please check your Spectrum email for the google form to register. $5 per team and $2 for individuals wishing to participate, and all fees are due the day/evening of the event. 

  • Not participating in the Powder Tuff tournament? Come out with your family to watch the 2021 Powder Tuff Boys Play Volleyball competition this Friday, November 12 beginning at 3:30 pm in the high school gym. There are currently 5 teams, including a teacher team. Show your Sting Spirit and cheer on your favorite team! Entrance fee is $2 each.

  • Congratulations to our yearbook staff (The Accolade) and broadcast journalism crew (NOISE News) for their wins in the Journalism Educators of Minnesota All State Competition awards. The Accolade was recognized with an All State Bronze Award for the submission of their 2020-2021 yearbook, and NOISE News was recognized with an All State Gold Award for the submission of three shows from the 2020-2021 school year.    

  • This year, Emmanuel Christian Center is providing a FREE Thanksgiving meal to the first 30 families who request one. Meals will be delivered to the school on November 22 for pickup and must be taken by Thanksgiving Break. If you are interested or have questions, please check your email for a Google form or contact a school counselor by Friday, November 12 .

  • Congratulations to Spectrum eighth grader Hope Beck who placed 39th out of 160 runners at the State Class AA Cross Country Meet that was held on Saturday, Nov. 6 at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.  Her time of 20:08 over the 5,000-meter course placed her in the top 10 of all 7th-8th graders.  Way to go, Hope!

  • Middle School Fall Black Light Dance is this Friday, November 12th, at the 7/8 Building, 6:30-8pm. $5 entry fee. There will be food/snacks provided.

  • At Spectrum Middle School, each day we say, Have a great day, knowing that you belong here, and with humble confidence and your best efforts, today will be a success. Go Sting!
