SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL

  • Picture Retakes: Jostens PIX is returning on Monday, October 18, to take pictures of any students who were not able to get a picture taken or needs a new picture taken. Retakes start at 8:00 AM for those who are here for the Delayed Start. Once school begins at 8:40 AM, an announcement will be made to have the rest of the students have the opportunity. Reminder: Do not wear green and the Spectrum dress code does apply.

  • A reminder that backpacks are not allowed in classrooms by order of the fire marshall and the Student/Family handbook. Only with certain permission are there any exceptions. Thank you for following this policy.

  • Notice: MEA break is October 21 and 22. There will not be school on these days. Please plan accordingly.

  • Wreck-Less Driving Academy is holding classes online during the rest of 2021 and in person at Spectrum in 2022.  If interested, grab a sheet outside the front office.

  • Interest has been expressed in Nordic (Cross Country) skiing at Spectrum or with a coop.  This sport was not indicated in the student interest survey that was conducted last month and we are trying to gauge the interest level at Spectrum.  Those interested should complete a survey from either the middle or high school office.

  • We are excited to announce that winter sports will soon be starting at Spectrum. This includes alpine skiing, basketball, dance team, and wrestling for high school.  Basketball and wrestling are also offered for middle school students in grades 6-8.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all students and at least one parent for everyone who is interested in participating in high school or middle school sports. The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, November 8 in the high school gym. A separate meeting will be at 6 pm on Monday, Oct. 25 for those interested in Dance Team.

Attending one of the sports meetings does not obligate you to join so come and check things out to discover if there is a winter sports team that is right for you!
