Spectrum Daily 10-30-2020

SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL

  • Students, as you are aware, we will not have school on Monday, November 2nd - Wednesday, November 4th.  This time off from school is being provided for students to refocus and work toward completing all missing work.  Our hope is to have the most up-to-date information and data to work off of as we move toward parent/teacher conferences coming up on November 5th and 10th.  Please know that your teachers, counselors, and administrators are here to support you so don't hesitate to reach out if needed.

Additionally, there will be no virtual Sting Time Advisory next week.  You'll report to your Advisory on Thursday as usual and receive your RTI assignments at that time.

  • Spectrum will be offering the PSAT 9 in digital format to all 9th graders on Monday, December 7th from 7:30-11am. While this test is not a requirement for most students, it is a valuable tool for families to assess college and career readiness as your student transitions into high school. It is also a great opportunity to practice test taking skills in preparation for college entrance exams like the ACT.  Please note that the PSAT 9 is a requirement for all students in the AVID program.

This year, students will complete the test on their Chromebook.  Due to test security, all students are required to complete the test in-person at Spectrum High School. The cost for the test is $13 and can be paid via Infinite Campus upon completion of the survey and registration form.

  • The Spectrum WINTER SPORTS MEETING will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, Nov. 9 at the high school. All students interested in the following sports should attend along with one parent. Winter sports registration is open online now!

  • Students, please take note that glass water bottles are not allowed in the school building. They are a hazard in more ways than one and we thank you for your compliance with this school policy.

  • This year, Emmanuel Christian Center is providing a FREE Thanksgiving meal to any family that requests one. Meals will be delivered to the school by November 23 for pickup. If you are interested or have questions, please contact your school counselor by Friday, November 6.
