SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL 

  • 10th and 11th graders who are taking the PSAT, please stop by the College and Career Center to pick up your free paper copy of the PSAT student guide that contains important information, test-taking advice, and an official practice tests. 

  • The football game at 7:00 pm this evening hosting Breck will have limited spectators of up to 250.  Priority will be given to the families of the football players who should plan to arrive before 6:40 pm.  Non-football family spectators will be allowed after 6:40 pm as long as we have not reached the capacity of 250. Masks or social distance is required by all spectators. The game will also be broadcast by live stream.  Go Sting!

  • Calling all baseball players... If you are in grades 8-12, you can participate in fall baseball practices if you are not currently in a fall sport at Spectrum. Report to the Spectrum Athletic Complex on Tuesday, for practice from 3:30 - 5:30. Practice begins October 6th and runs through October 24th. Practice will be on Tuesday and Thursday after school and on Saturdays at noon. Students that take the activity bus to the fields after school must wear a mask. 

  • Reminder: There is no school on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 for MEA break. Enjoy the extra time off!

SPECTRUM MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Students of the Month - Each month we have two Students of the Month for each grade.  These students are nominated by teachers for excelling in academic performance, character, behavior, effort, social relationships, and attendance; National Junior Honor Society students are not eligible for SOTM.  Please congratulate the following students for being recognized as our first  Students of the Month:  

    • 6th -  Oscar Carlson (Mattson) and Natalie Foell (Moe)

    • 7th -  Franklin Iler (Gangl) and Lyla Glinsek (Prepeluh)

    • 8th -  Andrew Berquist (Holland) and Sophia Dan (Strand)

  • MEA Break: Next week is a shortened week for the MEA teachers conference break. The days will be the same as we have held already this fall: Monday is only advisory with Tuesday as an A day with Tuesday/Wednesday students face-to-face & all others remote learning, and Wednesday as a B day with Tuesday/Wednesday students face-to-face & all others remote learning. Back to the regular Hybrid schedule for the week of October 19.

  • Academic Progress: Time to catch up! If you have any practices (homework) still to be submitted, please do so ASAP, as well as retake any non-proficient summative assessments. Action Plans are being requested through your parents if you have fallen behind. Our goal is to have all students caught up by October 19. Please help us.
