SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL 

  • 10th and 11th graders who are taking the PSAT, please stop by the College and Career Center to pick up your free paper copy of the PSAT student guide that contains important information, test-taking advice, and an official practice tests. 

  • Student Council will meet on Thursday, October 8, at 7:15 am in Ms. Johnson's room 105. Anyone interested in applying to join Student Council should stop in Ms. Johnson's room 105 to get an application.  Students can also email Ms. Johnson for a digital copy of the application.

  • The cross country team would like to invite all students and teachers to their MCAA conference meet being held tomorrow on Saturday at 11:30 am at Bassett Creek Park in Crystal.  The girls are the defending champions and the boys are in contention for a first ever championship.  The competition is expected to be close so wish a cross country runner good luck today at school and come out to cheer for the team tomorrow if you are able.

SPECTRUM MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • Students of the Month - Each month we have two Students of the Month for each grade.  These students are nominated by teachers for excelling in academic performance, character, behavior, effort, social relationships, and attendance; National Junior Honor Society students are not eligible for SOTM.  Please congratulate the following students for being recognized as our first  Students of the Month:  

    • 6th -  Oscar Carlson (Mattson) and Natalie Foell (Moe)

    • 7th -  Franklin Iler (Gangl) and Lyla Glinsek (Prepeluh)

    • 8th -  Andrew Berquist (Holland) and Sophia Dan (Strand)

  • Student Advisory Crew (SAC): SAC is inviting sixth graders to join The Crew this week with hopes that they are able to meet with the seventh and eighth graders on Tuesday during Sting Time. As a reminder to everyone, these students help you have a voice at Spectrum Middle School - be sure to use that voice!

  • 7th and 8th grade AVID Boot Camp is on Pause: Because there currently are many students needing support, Boot Camp is on hold this week. It will resume with training next week.

  • At Spectrum Middle School, each day we say, Have a great day, knowing that you belong here, and with humble confidence and your best efforts, today will be a success. Go Sting!
