Spectrum Daily 5-8-19

  • Grade 7/8: Spectrum will be offering a summer phy ed class that earns a semester of high school credit. Students entering 9th grade in the fall of 2019 are eligible to take the course. The class meets during the months of June and July. Interested students may pick up the course information and registration form at the front office.

  • This summer will feature a record number of summer sports camps held right here at Spectrum. There are flyers available at each school office. Registration for camps with activity fees may be done through infinite campus. Pre-registration is not necessary for camps and practices that do not have a fee. Make this a fun summer of activities by attending one or more of the sports camps!

  • Students/Parents: The last day of the school year, May 24th, is quickly approaching! Time is running out to get signed up for the class field trips planned for the “Last day of the School Year”. This is a reminder that the online parent permission form and online field trip fee is due by May 10. The fee is found in Infinite Campus under Payments.

  • Many of you may be familiar with Fred Rogers, known to many as the lovable host of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. As a teacher himself, he cared about the education of children around the world. He once said that, “Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me.”

Teaching is one of the most noble and influential professions. Teachers help their students every day to become better learners and better citizens, and in doing so become better teachers. Make no mistake teachers – you are a hero to many students! Let that be one of the many reasons you continue to nurture the architects of the future.

  • The Marines will have a representative in the College and Career Center today during the lunch period.

  • Grade 9-11 students, interested in being a part of the 2019-2020 student council? Applications for new members can be found outside of Profe Brunkow´s room, and need to be submitted to her no later than 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10.
