"We came in to this Albany game knowing we were playing a great team", said coach Dan Zurbey. "We talked about putting the ball in play and making plays we are capable of. We executed this strategy well against a team with a good chance to win our section. We have imrproved greatly since our 22-1 loss to this team a year ago. I'm proud of the effort these young men have made to keep improving baseball at Spectrum. We couldn't have done it without the leadership of our seniors."
There were many positive take-aways from the season for the Sting. Spectrum won 6 games this season, including three conference, posting the best competitive record in the past several years. Their fast start this season, going 4-0, led to the teams first ever top ten ranking in 2A.
