Nov. 29 - Dec. 10

Hello, Spectrum!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know there are many challenges that many if not all of us are working through right now, so like last year, I feel it is time for me to express my gratitude. I have so many positives for which I am thankful:

  • First, I am thankful for you, our Spectrum families, and your constant support. I am...
  • Thankful for so many face-to-face learners,
  • Thankful for a distance-learning mode for those that prefer or need it again this year,
  • Thankful that we have devices and access to the internet to be able to learn,
  • Thankful for a supportive Board and Executive Director,
  • Thankful for teachers who are willing to learn and grow themselves while supporting their learners in doing the same,
  • Thankful for Mr. LeBrun for joining the middle school team and connecting with learners,
  • Thankful for Ms. Kobes for being available to counsel and care for those learners,
  • Thankful for office staff on both campuses to meet and greet families and learners every day, answering questions and being an integral support of the middle-school system,
  • Thankful for Mr. Mills being available to guide and connect with learners as the dean,
  • Thankful to have custodians keep our campuses safe and clean,
  • Thankful for Mr. Peterson and Ms. Aeshliman for guiding and directing our middle school sports and extracurricular opportunities,
  • Thankful for Ms. Lee for leading Quiz Bowl, for Mrs. Rogers for leading WIN, for Ms. Dillon for leading NJHS, and Ms. Faatz for leading Student Council.
  • And I want to thank the students for being patient and persistent in their learning, being the best learners they can be. I see many smiles on faces each day with the joy and challenges of the middle-school years being met head on.

Lastly, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to support and serve you as principal. I hope you either had some time or still can make some time to take a moment and see all the things worthy of being thankful for: Happy belated Thanksgiving!
