SPECTRUM HIGH SCHOOL

  • As we approach the holiday season, it's time to start thinking about buying presents! From November 29th to December 17th, Spectrum's chapter of National Honor Society will be collecting new, unopened toys to donate to Gifts Anonymous. These toys will help bring joy to families in need from the Otsego and Elk River area. You can place these unopened toys in the box that will be located in your advisory classroom.

  • Join us for the Winter Fine Arts Concert Series! The Band Concert will be at the HS gym on Friday, December 3. Next week the Choir Concert will be on Friday, December 10. Both of the concerts are free and will surely fill your spirit with the wonderment of the season.

  • Not in a sport this winter?  Want to get fit or a head start on the track & field season next Spring?  Join captain led out of season running practices also known as the winter running club.  The practices are FREE and open to students in grades 7-12.  This is a student led and adult supervised activity that includes running and core training.

The practices meet in the high school commons after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 – 4:45 pm.  Also, don’t forget, there is also FREE strength training in the weight room for all students every Monday and Wednesday morning from 6:30 – 7:30 am.

Hope to see you getting fit this winter at either the out-of-season running practices or strength training.
