Parent Volunteer Information

Spectrum High School is a public charter school.  Our strong family support and involvement is one of  many key reasons why Spectrum is successful.  We rely on our families for financial support and to lend us a helping hand in order to keep necessary costs as low as possible.

We ask that each family commit to 20 hours of direct support to Spectrum each year.  This can be accomplished in one of two ways.  Either, a family may volunteer for various opportunities, communicated through email and the newsletter, or you may donate financially as every $10.00 you spend on Spectrum equals 1 hour of volunteer time.  If you are a family who would prefer to donate financially, the cost is $200.00 per year and can be done incrementally by quarter or all at one time.  You may choose to purchase a gift card and if so, we ask that you purchase the American Express card rather than store specific, as it allows us more flexibility in purchasing the necessary supplies for the school. Likewise, if you prefer to donate your time, you may do it incrementally or all at one time.

Again, our family involvement is directly related to our success.  We greatly appreciate all that you do!  If you have questions or need further information, please contact Janice Dammeier, Volunteer Coordinator, at
